Voices from Grand Challenges - Migration and Education with Dr Tejendra Pherali / by Institute for Global Prosperity

In a conversation with the UCL Grand Challenges team, Dr Tejendra Pherali (UCL Institute of Education and RELIEF Centre) explores the barriers and difficulties of access to education for migrants and refugees, and in particular Syrian refugees in Lebanese settlements. Dr Pherali proposes leveraging local capabilities, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and leadership at all levels to enable the learning and wellbeing of vulnerable populations.

UCL’s Grand Challenges convene and cultivate cross-disciplinary collaborations that bring researchers together, explore joined-up solutions in six areas related to matters of pressing societal concern, and set the agenda for future research while building bridges with external partners.
